PAT testing is priced by the number of appliances. For a typical small office or restaurant it costs £125 + VAT covering up to 20 items, then £1.50 + VAT per item. Call with a rough appliance count and we’ll give you a fixed price.

Do you provide a PAT certificate?

Yes — each item is labelled and dated on the day, and your PAT certificate follows within 2 working days for your records, insurers and health-and-safety compliance.

How often does PAT testing need to be carried out?

There's no single legally mandated interval, but the IET Code of Practice gives guidance based on equipment type and environment. Office equipment is typically tested annually. Construction tools are tested every 3 months. We'll advise on the right intervals for your business.

What does PAT testing cover?

PAT testing covers portable electrical appliances — computers, monitors, printers, kettles, extension leads, power tools, and similar. It does NOT cover fixed wiring or the consumer unit (that's covered by an EICR).

What happens to appliances that fail?

Failed appliances are labelled "Failed - Do Not Use" and should be removed from service immediately. We provide a detailed report listing all pass and fail results so you have a record for insurance and compliance purposes.

Can you do PAT testing out of hours?

Yes — we can carry out PAT testing in the evening or at weekends to avoid disruption to your business operations. Pricing is the same as standard PAT testing.
