As a guide, London electricians typically charge around £95–£125 + VAT for the first hour and a lower rate for each hour after that. Emergency and out-of-hours call-outs cost more. Our standard call-outs start from £95 + VAT (emergency call-outs from £140 + VAT).
What affects the rate?
- Emergency vs planned — a 2am call-out costs more than a booked visit.
- Time of day — evenings, weekends and bank holidays carry a higher rate.
- Complexity and access — fiddly fault finding or awkward access takes longer.
Why we prefer fixed quotes
